1. What Off-On Duty is
Off-On Duty ("the tool", "we", "us") is a scheduling aid for a nurse-in-charge at a Namibian MoHSS health facility. It helps you build a weekly staff duty roster faster and helps catch common mistakes, such as scheduling someone past the legal maximum number of days in a row.
2. A suggested roster — you remain responsible
The roster Off-On Duty produces is a suggestion. You, the nurse-in-charge, and your matron (or other approving senior) remain fully responsible for the final approved schedule. The tool is an aid to your professional judgment — it does not replace it. You must review every roster before you rely on it or submit it for approval, and you remain responsible for ensuring the actual staffing of your ward is safe and lawful.
3. Best-effort compliance, not a legal guarantee
The tool aims to keep rosters within the legal limits of the Namibian Labour Act (Act 11 of 2007) as we understand them, and it will tell you when a week cannot be staffed legally rather than produce an unlawful roster. However, we do not warrant that every output is legally compliant in your specific circumstances, and the tool is not a substitute for legal advice or for your facility's and the MoHSS's own rules and approvals.
4. Your account and data
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for the accuracy of the team and roster information you enter. Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy. You may export or delete your data at any time.
5. Acceptable use
Use the tool only for lawful staff rostering at a facility you are authorised to roster for. Do not enter data you are not permitted to record, and do not attempt to access another account's data.
6. Availability
We work to keep the tool available and correct, but it is provided "as is", and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features. An internet connection is required to generate or open rosters.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Namibian law, Off-On Duty is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the tool, including any roster you approve or rely on. Because the tool provides a suggested roster that you and your matron must review and approve, responsibility for the final schedule, and for the staffing of your ward, rests with you and your facility — not with the tool.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above shows when. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
