Privacy Policy
Last updated 9 July 2026. Off-On Duty.
Who we are
Off-On Duty is a tool that helps a nurse-in-charge at a Namibian Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) facility build a weekly staff duty roster. You ("the account holder") are the nurse-in-charge who signs in and uses the tool.
What we collect
We collect only what the tool needs to do its job:
- Your account: the email address and password you use to sign in. Passwords are handled entirely by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are never seen or stored by us in readable form.
- Your facility settings: the facility name and the staffing numbers you choose (staff per shift).
- Your team: for each nurse on your team, their name, rank (SRN / RN / EN) and whether they practise midwifery.
- Roster inputs and outputs: the requested days off and leave you enter each week, and the rosters the tool generates and you save.
We do not collect national ID numbers, dates of birth, contact details for team members, pay information, or any clinical or patient data. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
About your team members' data
The names and ranks you enter are staff scheduling details, recorded so the tool can build a fair, legal roster. As the account holder you are responsible for entering only the information you are permitted to record for rostering, and for handling it in line with your facility's and the MoHSS's rules.
How we use it
Your data is used solely to operate the tool for you: to store your team, generate rosters, protect the legal limits (such as the maximum days in a row), and show you your saved weeks. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers below who help us run the app.
Where it is stored
Your data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Supabase) and the app runs on a managed hosting provider. These providers process data on our behalf and encrypt it in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Each account's data is isolated — one nurse-in-charge can only ever see and edit her own facilities.
Namibian data protection
We handle staff personal data in line with Namibian data-protection expectations: we collect only what is necessary, keep it for only as long as your account exists, and let you export or delete it at any time. Namibia does not yet have a single comprehensive data-protection statute in force; this policy will be updated to reflect any such law as it comes into effect.
Your rights
- Export: you can download all of your data at any time from your account settings.
- Deletion: you can permanently delete your account and all associated data from your account settings. See our account deletion page.
Retention
We keep your data only while your account is active. When you delete your account, your facilities, teams and rosters are removed immediately.
